XXIII Tertio Millennio Film Fest, the festival of the interreligious dialogue, is ready to start.
Tuesday, December 3rd, at 7pm, at the Cinema Farnese in Rome (Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, 56), pre-opening event with the national preview of Master Cheng in its original version with Italian subtitles. Director Mika Kaurismäki will be present to meet the audience. Free entrance subject to seat availability (online bookings on bookeo.com/farneselive).
The event is part of the European Cinema Night. The event, promoted by the MEDIA Programme of the European Commission, includes free screenings of films supported by MEDIA throughout Europe. The objective is to bring the EU and the citizens closer. In addition to the screenings, the film lovers will have the opportunity to meet filmmakers, film critics and representatives of the European institutions during several debates. The discussions will allow citizens to know more about films but also about how European funds like MEDIA can give shape to the local communities and connect the European people from different Countries.
A Finland-China-Great Britain co-production, Master Cheng, is the first of the nine international feature films in competition. The festival will take place from 10 to 13 December at the Casa del Cinema of Rome. Tertio Millennio Film Fest is the film festival that focuses on the interreligious dialogue, organised by Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo (FEdS) under the patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture, the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See, the National Office for Social Communications of CEI, the Department for Cultural Growth of the Municipality of Rome and Regione Lazio.
