Tertio Millennio welcomes Assayas

Tomorrow, December 15th, the XXII festival of the interreligious dialogue will close with the film Non Fiction, directed by the French director. During the day, meeting with Costanza Quatriglio, screening of the short films and the winning film.

Tomorrow, December 15th, 2018, is the last day of the XXII Tertio Millennio Film Fest, the festival of the interreligious dialogue promoted by Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo. The Festival will close with Non Fiction, by Olivier Assayas, at 8.30 at the Trevi cinema.

The day will start with the screening of the winning short films (first, second and third place) which competed in the contest focusing on new generations: Noi ci siamo – Giovani, voglia di partecipazione e ricerca di senso, proclaimed by the jury presided by film director Costanza Quatriglio, and made up of six exponents of the religious Communities involved in the Tertio Millennio Film Fest. A Special event will follow, with the documentary Il mondo addosso, by Costanza Quatriglio, who will be present in the screening room, and the film winning the 2018 Tertio Millennio Award will receive the prize.

Trevi cinema

  • 3.00 pm Screening of the winning short films (45’)
  • 3.45 pm Il mondo addosso (90’) directed by Costanza Quatriglio – Meeting with the film director. Special event

They come from far away, they aren’t eighteen yet and they are alone. Their homes were in Afghanistan, Romania, Moldavia. For some of them the family bonds were broken by war, the others’ families are waiting for a financial help. The stories of Mohammad, Jan, Cosmin, Inga and Josif are intertwined in an uncertain present and in the difficulty to build up a future.

  • 5.30 pm Award ceremony of the 2018 Tertio Millennio Award – Screening of the winning film
  • 8.30 pm Non Fiction (100’) directed by Olivier Assayas. Special event. Closing film.

Alain, a successful Parisian publisher, and Leonard, one of his historical authors, can’t fully understand and embrace the world of contemporary publishing, which is made of e-books and online shopping. When they meet to discuss about Leonard’s new work – another autobiographical novel focusing on his love story with a minor celebrity – Alain confesses to his friend what he thinks about the book: it is dated and banal, and he cannot publish it.
