Hors Satan closes the Tertio Millennio Film Fest    versione testuale
With previews and meetings the lights go out on the TMFF






The XV season of the Tertio Millennio Film Fest comes to an end, with the screening of Hors Satan by Bruno Dumont, presented for the first time at Cannes 64 in the Certain Regard section. Prestigious previews with personalities from the world of cinema, filled this cinematic event organized by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo. The festival began on the 6 December with the preview of Breathing by Karl Marcovices, Austria’s Oscar candidate for best foreign film, and then with previews of Attack the block by Joe Cornish and Seven Acts of Mercy by the De Serio brothers.
Like every year the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo and the Rivista del Cinematografo gave out the RdC Awards to the leading figures of the world of cinema, television and culture, awarding Guido Chiesa, the actor Giuseppe Battiston, directors Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio and the composer Franco Piersanti. In addition, for the first time,The Special Cinema Award, which was given to Thierry Frémaux, director of the Institut Lumière di Lyon, who during the Festival, presented restored films by the Lumière brothers.
Within the section "The miraculous probably (A worldly view of the mise-en-scène)" there were screenings of The Word by Carl Theodor Dreyer, Times of Miracles by Goran Paskaljevic, Lourdes by Jessica Hausner and The Kid with a Bike by the Dardenne brothers. The meetings, organized with the aim of bringing authors and spectators together, saw the participation of the directors Francesco Patierno, Răzvan Rădulescu and Melissa de Raaf (their feature film First of All, Felicia was screened) and the actors Cristiana Capotondi and Antonio Catania.
For the second year the i-father - Short Film Awards took place, a competition to produce five short films on the topic The mission of a priest, seize the moment published by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo in collaboration with the Service for the promotion and economic support for the Catholic Church.
